Optimizing website speed

While website speed is not that significant of a factor when it comes to search rankings, various search engine marketing studies have concluded that web visitors tend to do more on a quick loading website. Having people browse, read and even shop more on your website is always a good thing for business.

Improving website speed can be as simple as optimizing website images, making changes to CSS and java script and merging includes but can certainly be of great help to any business. Needless to say, any effort in reducing website latency will ultimately help achieve better returns on investment which makes it an important part of any SEO strategy.

Good internal education, linking and CMS (Content Management System) practices

Over time, you will no doubt end up bringing in new people in the company or business and it’s important to consistently touch base with everyone once in awhile on the merits of search engine optimisation and why it is important if only to make sure that you are all on the same page.

You also have to make sure that your website is free from 404 errors and that your links are actually working. Make it a point to build links describing your products or service with good and non-spammy keywords.

Social media marketing

Social media networks like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest are a great way to get your message across a wider audience. Social media and SEO are practically different sides of the same coin – if you can get people from social media networks to visit your website and engage your business then a number of them will ultimately post updates and share your messages across their network of influence which can certainly prove invaluable to your bottom line.
